Insta-Mold®™ Earplugs are custom-made “on the spot” hearing protectors that meet Australian Standard AS/NZS1270-2002, certified as a Class 5 protector with an SLC80 rating of 28. Made from premium medical-grade silicone, they’re durable yet soft and pliable—designed for all-day comfort.

Each pair is crafted directly in the ear, eliminating the need for impressions or long wait times. They’re ready to use within minutes and ideal for industrial noise, motorsports, shooting, swimming, and sleep.

All electronic components come with a 12-month warranty, and the moulds are backed by a 24-month warranty against cracks or splits—giving you peace of mind and long-lasting protection.

The 60cm cable features a reinforced Y-section and a heated wire harness to minimize wear and prevent breakage at the jack. For added flexibility, extension leads, volume control units, and microphone attachments are available as optional add-ons.

*For pilot headsets, a brass CEP connector is fitted to an offset cable—29cm on one side and 38cm on the other—for a more ergonomic and comfortable fit under headgear.

Impression Procedure

Our procedure is carefully developed to ensure a true “tissue-to-tissue” fit—meaning each earplug is molded directly in the ear, curing to the exact contours of the ear canal for a snug, watertight, and comfortable seal.

How it works:

1. The ear canal and eardrum are first otoscopically inspected.
2. A small protective sponge (with retrieval string) is gently inserted to shield the eardrum.
3. The medical-grade impression material is then carefully injected and moulded to the ear’s shape.
4. Once cured, the plug is removed, shaped, and sealed with a protective silicone coating.

Each set of Class 5 hearing protectors is made in 20–30 minutes, with most ready for use within 2 hours after sealing. Every pair comes with a carry pouch and an optional neck cord for convenience.

Step 1

A small sponge is inserted to prevent the impression material from going in too deep.

Step 2

The impression material is "injected" into the ear and moulded to your ear's shape. Drying takes less than 10 minutes

Step 3

The impression material is removed from the ear, shaped and sealed with silicone. The plugs are ready for use once dry.
