Custom Earplugs WA is a local, Perth based group who specialises in ear and hearing health. Combining our knowledge and experience in Audiology and Mining, we have seen first-hand the need for better ear and hearing care in all age groups.
With over 20 years of experience combined in both professions, our aim is to share our knowledge and illustrate our skill set by recommending a custom earmould designed to protect hearing from noise (industrial, racing, motorcycling, long range shooting and sleep disturbances caused by snoring and noisy neighbours), as well as ears from water, i.e., swimmer's ears, eardrum perforations, or grommets.
We also offer Bluetooth in-ear monitors and headsets for music lovers, race car drivers, motorcycle enthusiasts, pilots, or anyone looking for an alternative to generic in-ear plugs.
Product Description
Insta-Mold ® ™ earplugs are custom made "On the Spot" hearing protectors that comply with the Australian hearing standards AS/NZS1270-2002 as being a true Class 5 protector with a SLC 80, 28 rating. The earplugs are made from medical grade premium silicone, which is hard wearing, yet soft and pliable for a comfortable fit. All electronics come with a 12-month warranty, and 24-month mould warranty against cracks or splits.

Noise Protection
Recreational and work-related noise can cause significant and irreversible hearing loss. Custom Earplugs WA offer a comfortable and cost-effective solution in hearing protection in that the earplugs are designed to keep noise below harmful levels. In our product’s case, a noise reduction between 27-40dB for low and high frequencies, respectively. The earplugs are suitable for race car or motorcycle enthusiasts, long-range shooters, music concert lovers and those exposed to industrial noise.
Water Protection
As the earmoulds are shaped to each individual’s ear, the “tissue to tissue” fit offers a snug, comfortable and watertight seal. It is hygienic and safe to use for those who suffer from swimmer’s ears, those with grommets and/or eardrum perforations. Our team has the skill set to perform the impression without causing discomfort or trauma to the outer ear canal and eardrum.
Sleeping Comfort
If a noisy spouse, neighbour or traffic is interfering with your sleep, custom earplugs might be exactly what you’re looking for. Being a Class 5 hearing protection plug, we can guarantee the plugs will reduce the maximum amount of noise in the environment to aid in a better night’s sleep.

In-Ear Bluetooth Monitors
In-Ear Bluetooth Monitors are used during a variety of recreational activities – motorcycling, motorsports, running, cycling, exercising, traveling, meditation, skiing and more.
Both single and dual drive options are available, with the dual drive offering an overall broader sound quality with high and low sounds. The pressure touch button control unit is easy to manage and houses an integrated microphone to make and accept phone calls.

In-Ear Music/Racing Monitors
If a direct connection, instead of Bluetooth is desired to ensure no signal disruptions or downtime, In-Ear Monitors coupled to a 3.5mm stereo or mono connection might be ideal. The connection can be plugged into most phones, iPods, GPS and Sena Bluetooth Communication Units, and is suitable for Motorsport or Motorbike drivers, Pilots* and Music lovers.
The 60cm cable has a reinforced Y-section, with a heated wire harness to prevent breakage at the jack. Compatible extension, volume control and/or microphone leads are available at an additional fee.
*Pilot Headsets: A Brass CEP connector is fitted to an offset cable with one side 29cm and the other 38cm in length for ease of wear
Labflex Custom Earmould Sleeves
LabFlex Custom Earmold Sleeves are custom made to suit just about any off-the-shelf generic earbud/headphone, including Shure musician headphones, Apple Airbuds and Sennheiser earbuds to name a few. This specialist item is made from a combination of a soft 40 shore, or a strong 60 shore heat cured premium silicone. The sleeves are guaranteed to provide a secure and comfortable fit for years of enjoyment.
Please note: The impressions are made by Custom Earplugs WA and sent away to Earmold Australia's lab in Qld, where the sleeves are made to perfection. Please allow up to 14 days for delivery.
Impression Procedure
The procedure is developed to ensure a "tissue to tissue" fit. The individual's ears are used as the moulds, so that the material cures to the exact contours and shape of the ears for a snug fit. The ear impressions are taken by an Australian qualified clinical Audiologist with more than 10 years’ experience in preventing, assessing and managing hearing related conditions. The Class 5 hearing protectors are made within 20-30 minutes per set, with first use being approximately 2-hour after the application of a protective silicone coating in most instances.
After the ear canal and eardrum are otoscopically inspected, a small sponge attached to a string is gently inserted into the ear canal to protect the eardrum from the impression material. The impression material is prepared and “injected” into the ear and moulded to the ear’s shape. Once the material has dried, the plug is removed from the ear, shaped and sealed with silicone. All sets come with a carry pouch and optional string.

The impression material is removed from the ear, shaped and sealed with silicone. The plugs are ready for use once dry.
